Whisky Barrel Aged Sweet Welsh Mead

This is our award winning Whisky Barrel Aged Sweet Welsh Mead. 

It has rich notes of honey, perfectly balanced by whisky notes on the nose and pallet, and gentle tannins from the oak barrel. 

This mead won gold medal in the Mid Summer Mead Awards in the UK, one of the most prestigious mead competitions in the world.  

The base mead for this product is our sweet mead, Honey Buzzard. It was matured in 2 ex Madeira, Penderyn whisky casks for 3 months. This mead was made for the 2026 Wales Whisky Fest. After the mead was taken out of the barrel, we put some 4 year old Penderyn whisky back into the barrel to create a Mead Cask Matured Welsh Whisky which will go on sale at the Welsh Whisky Fest 2026. 

This mead is 14.5% ABV and comes in a 200ml re-sealable glass bottle with T-cap style closure.
